Question for minor factions?

Hello, im thunderwolf from elite dangerous and have a few concerns and questions.

First off ive been playing for a while and would like to get more involved in elite dangerous factions. I have been running a private underground donation ring once a month for rookies to kick start their experience long before I joined ToC. I was wondering if I could implement this to ToC or if someone could help explain the minor faction functionality to me. My allies and friends working with me on this have also wanted to start a minor faction or to help expand this process. I didn't know where to turn so I resorted to ToC, so if someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

In short, im looking for help to understand minor factions and how they run and whether or not they are appropriate for this course of action.

We were chatting in DM's (H0tice) stream about this, I can see lots of possibilities with the sort of thing you are talking about fitting into the ToC RP, I think if we can get you setup in TS3 properly this idea is worth a discussion in there

A recruitment arm of ToC?
A sub-faction working in alliance or as part of the ToC core?
Protection / Escorts from the ToC horde?
Lavish annual homecomings to Vesuvit sampling all the local delights

Could FD allow for a minor faction to splinter into a second minor faction location 100's of lightyears away?
